What to Expect from
a Home Visit

No Equipment Needed
Just wear comfortable clothing and clear a small space — about the size of a yoga mat. That's all you need to do.
Everything Is Brought to You
Mo arrives with a portable treatment table, assessment tools, and all needling equipment. Nothing is missing compared to a clinic visit.
Same Level of Care as a Clinic
Manual therapy, dry needling, exercise prescription, and FCAMPT-level clinical reasoning — none of this requires a clinic. It requires the right clinician.
Private, One-on-One
No shared clinic floor, no background noise, no next patient waiting. Your full session is yours — unhurried and completely private.
Direct billing available for most extended health plans. Mo bills your insurer directly — no upfront payment required in most cases. Detailed receipts always provided.

You'll likely see yourself in this list

You want one-on-one specialist care from one of the most credentialed physiotherapists in Edmonton
You live in Keswick, Glenridding, Windermere, Ambleside, Jagare Ridge or nearby SW Edmonton
Including those balancing busy schedules, caring for young children, or finding it difficult to attend in-clinic appointments
If you read that list and thought "that's me" — you're in the right place. Book a home visit →
This service is not ideal if…
Better to know this upfront
You need WCB-covered treatment — Mo does not accept WCB claims at this time
You require Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) physiotherapy — MVA claims are not accepted
Your primary concern is neurological in nature — stroke rehabilitation, MS, Parkinson's, or neurological movement disorders. Mo's expertise is musculoskeletal and sport. For neurological conditions, a physiotherapist specialising in that area will serve you better, and Mo will be honest about that.
You're located outside SW Edmonton — home visits are currently limited to Keswick, Glenridding, Windermere, Ambleside, and Jagare Ridge. Not sure? Just email — Mo will do his best to make it work.
Transparency about fit is part of good care. If you're unsure whether Mo is the right clinician for your situation, just ask — he'll tell you honestly.

Before Your Appointment

What to Expect
on Visit One

No clinic, no waiting room, no mystery. Here's exactly what happens when Mo arrives at your door.

👕
Wear comfortable clothingLoose-fitting clothes you can move in. Mo may need to assess range of motion, so shorts or a t-shirt often works well.
📐
Clear a small spaceAbout the size of a yoga mat — in your living room, bedroom, or garage. That's all that's needed for a full assessment and treatment.
🧳
Mo brings everythingPortable treatment table, assessment tools, needling equipment if applicable, and any supplies needed. You don't need to prepare anything clinical.
📋
Brief intake beforehandYou'll receive a short intake form by email before your first visit. Completing it in advance means more of your appointment time is spent on treatment, not paperwork.
45 minutes, fully yoursYour initial assessment is 45 minutes of undivided attention — thorough history, physical assessment, and a treatment plan built around your goals. No rushing.

Plan, Exercises & Follow-Up
You'll leave with a clear understanding of what's going on, a home exercise plan, and a path forward — whether that's further home visits or another arrangement that suits you.

Mobile physiotherapy is not a reduced version of clinic care — it's the same advanced clinical assessment and treatment, delivered in an environment that works better for your life. For busy parents of teenage athletes, working professionals, and active adults in Windermere and southwest Edmonton, coming to a clinic on a Tuesday evening can be genuinely difficult.

Mo's Saturday home visit service removes that barrier entirely. You get undivided, expert attention in the comfort of your own home — with the full clinical depth of an FCAMPT specialist, Sport Physiotherapy Canada diplomat, and dual master's degree holder.

His training is built for exactly the conditions a home visit demands: hands-on manual therapy, dry needling, exercise prescription, and clinical reasoning — none of which require an ultrasound machine to be effective. In fact, for musculoskeletal and sport injury care, what matters most is the clinician in the room with you.

Home Visit Advantage
"The best physiotherapy happens when the patient feels safe, unhurried, and at ease. Your home is already that place."

Mo Yamali — Registered Physiotherapist, FCAMPT
Muhammet (Mo) Yamali
Registered Physiotherapist · Founder

Mo holds some of the most advanced clinical credentials in Canadian physiotherapy, including Fellowship of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT), a Sport Physiotherapy Canada Diploma, and dual Master's degrees in Sport & Exercise Medicine and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy from Western University. Fewer than 5% of Canadian physiotherapists hold the FCAMPT designation.

His clinical experience spans elite sport — including work with Rugby Canada — as well as leading sports medicine settings such as Fowler Kennedy Sport Medicine Clinic (London, Ontario) and Rebalance MD (Victoria, BC). He graduated with his Bachelor of Physiotherapy in Amsterdam in 2013.

Mo founded Yamali Advanced Physiotherapy on a simple principle: the level of care typically reserved for elite athletes should be accessible to everyone — delivered where it works best for you.

Born and raised in Amsterdam, Mo's background in sport — particularly football (soccer) — continues to shape his clinical approach, with a focus on movement quality, performance, and long-term recovery.

Credentials

Training That
Speaks for Itself

These designations represent years of disciplined post-graduate study, rigorous international examination, and deep clinical immersion. Together they don't just add letters after a name — they shape how Mo thinks, assesses, and reasons through every patient presentation.

FCAMPT

Fellowship, CAMPT

Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy

The highest level of orthopaedic manual therapy training in Canada — a multi-year, internationally recognised post-graduate designation involving rigorous examination and clinical mentorship. Meets IFOMPT standards.

Held by fewer than 5% of Canadian physiotherapists.
SPC

SPC Diploma

Sport Physiotherapy Canada Diploma

The nationally recognised credential for physiotherapists specialising in sport injury assessment and management. Advanced competency in returning athletes from recreational to professional levels.

Holders of the SPC Diploma qualify for recognition as Sports Physical Therapists by the IFSPT (International Federation of Sports Physical Therapy) — placing Mo within a small international community of clinicians credentialled at this level.
MSc ×2

Dual Master's

Sport & Exercise Medicine + Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy · Western University

Two master's degrees — one in Sport and Exercise Medicine, one in Comprehensive Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. Breadth of clinical reasoning that serves patients across the full spectrum.

A combination held by very few physiotherapists in Canada.

Questions are not an inconvenience — they are welcomed. There is no question too small, too basic, or too challenging. That is a promise.

"The most important thing a physiotherapist can do is earn your trust — not assume it."
